Nestling among olive groves in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the Las Alpujarras region of eastern Andalucia, this farmhouse has been completely renovated to create a Moorish mini-palace.
This is an excellent holiday location, being close to the coast (the Costa Tropical), the Sierra Nevada Mountains and to the city of Granada, home of the Alhambra Palace and many other great cultural sites
The Farmhouse is set in 2,500 m2 of gardens and grounds in open countryside near the tiny hamlet of Tijola and is approximately 10 min from the market town of Orgiva, the capital of the Las Alpujarras region.
The attention to detail and design in the property is fantastic. Inspired by Spain’s Moorish past, examples of Granada’s Moroccan style are present wherever you look. For instance, many of the windows have grilles inspired by the metalwork found in Granada’s old Arab Quarter, while inside, mirrors of carved and gilded camel bone reflect Moroccan lamps and rugs. The walls are typically dark ochre or deep blue
There is a tiled courtyard in the centre of the property in which a marble fountain gently bubbles. The garden has the swimming pool as its main feature, with extensive lawns and many well-established fruit trees and centuries old olives. Rose and oleander hedges ensure privacy. There are views out towards the Contraviesa mountain range
All the bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and luxury bed linen. They each have fabulous views from every window.
This is a quiet and peaceful location for you to make the most of your holiday.
