Located in 22 hectares (50+ acres) of olive groves, vines and orchards, this spacious villa is in central Umbria, very close to the city of Perugia and within a short journey of Assisi, to the east and Cortona in Tuscany to the west.  It is only about 20 km from Lake Trasimeno, which is wonderfully warm in the summer months and is ideal for swimming, boating and other water sports. 

This country house has been beautifully restored with exposed beams and terracotta floors throughout combining well with the traditional Umbrian country furnishings.

Most of the bedrooms have direct access to one or other of the three covered terraces of each side of the house and there is a large swimming pool (14 x 6m) with a separate pool house and changing rooms.  The house has superb views across the open country towards Perugia.

The villa is just outside Perugia, one of Italy’s most ancient cities dating back to the Etruscans, who occupied the area well before the Romans.  Built along several hillsides, highlights include the Rocca Paolina, a renaissance fortress of which only the underground foundations remain, and the Corso Vannucci, the city’s spacious main street

Cortona is a short drive away and is one of the must-see towns in eastern Tuscany – another massive fortress town set high on a hill looking out towards Lake Trasimeno.  The towns centre has many lovely shops and the art gallery contains several well-known renaissance masterpieces.
